If Hart has been rated the best place to live in the UK, then the parish of Odiham and North Warnborough is an important jewel in that crown.

If you live or work here, you probably love its historic charm and countryside, its easy access to shops and amenities, and real sense of community.  Yet we’re faced with the challenge of even more housing development.

But is there really anything you can do about it? Yes, if we act together. Under the Localism Act 2011, our Neighbourhood Plan – the OnwardPlan – will create a strict legal framework and set strategic priorities for the overall development of our villages.

Granted, more development is inevitable. Yet a Neighbourhood Plan allows us to influence how and where it happens. So together we can help keep Odiham and North Warnborough a great place to live always.

I love the exceptionally warm sense of community in Odiham and North Warnborough; the beautiful views and sunsets we enjoy across open fields; being able to walk out of our garden back gate straight across a network of footpaths to King John’s Castle, the Basingstoke Canal and neighbouring villages for stunning walks; the farmers market in Odiham High Street; the ability to walk to decent pubs and restaurants and post office; the many sociable local events for all ages throughout the year.

We have two young children that love going for muddy walks and seeing animals and tractors - our first walk along the canal to Greywell was fantastic as they got all that and more! North Warnborough gives us the ability to get to work, yet come back to enjoy the village amenities, local countryside.

Odiham provides the perfect combination of essential facilities in an attractive, historic village setting, coupled with beautiful open countryside on the doorstep, all within a convenient and accessible location.
resident of Odiham for 30 years
After 30 nomadic years of military life, it’s great to come home to Odiham for good this time. There’s everything we need from day to day on the High St, uplifting green space close by and plenty of parties. Best of all, there’s a wonderful sense of belonging…

This place is wonderful - there are loads of country walks and with easy access to Odiham Common and the Deer Park I get to run around off the lead and see lots of doggie friends wherever I go. Ruff..

My children can walk to school and I can walk to a decent pub....
North Warnborough
The village is a lovely place to live thanks to the work that the people who live here put into keeping all the clubs and activities going and into keeping the historic buildings in good repair. The footpaths throughout the village give views to beautiful countryside and encourage people to leave their cars at home.

Easy access to essential amenities including local shops, good quality schools and excellent transport links - the perfect place for our family to grow.
