According to the 2011 census, 90% of our parish is in good or very good health and not limited in their day to day actions. So it’s no wonder that we enjoy a wide range of amenities plus clubs and societies here as diverse as the University of the Third Age, Holy Ridiculous theatre group, Air Cadets and the Odiham Art Group…

A Neighbourhood Plan has the potential to give a community more money from developers, more freedom on how it can be spent, and a better chance of securing new facilities and amenity areas than would otherwise be the case. January’s consultations showed that there is  particularly strong support for more cycle paths. 39% placed this top of 7 suggestions. Also for maintaining footpaths, including at the Canal; and refurbishing the public toilets in King Street which are owned by Odiham Parish Council.  A village green was popular. However, there was limited appetite for a Community Centre or for additional sports pitches.

As a reminder, the following are currently available for community groups and individuals:

  • BOWLS GREEN for Odiham and North Warnborough Bowls Club
  • CANAL  including boat hire, fishing and Basingstoke Canoe Club boathouse opening this year
